Palestinian Reaction

The Palestinians - who claim all of the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem - have denied the plan and consider it as a right violation.
Israel has occupied the West Bank and East Jerusalem since the 1967 Middle East War.  It withdrew its troops and settlers from Gaza in 2005, but the United Nations says its occupation is not over.

There are more than 600,000 Jews in about 140 settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.  Most members of the international community consider the settlements illegal under international law, although Israel and the Trump administration deny this.
The International expert considers it a violation of the charter of the United Nations and Geneva convention.
